My major project for 2010, All Is Domain, has finally seen the light of day and spent the past week on exhibition at COFA graduate exhibition, The Annual. Like many of the interactive installation works at The Annual, I had my fair share of problems with location and technical hiccups, nevertheless it great to finally release such a long-term project into the wild.

The biggest challenge I had with the CarriageWorks space was overwhelming ambient light. During the day, it was difficult to see the projections at all and at night, the lighting conditions had changed so much that the interaction would respond quite differently.

With some luck, this project will have another life and in better conditions. What I’ve created with All Is Domain feels like a system that could be implemented in many different ways – not just as a table in a gallery.

I feel as though I’ve been living and breathing this for quite some time, so that’s probably enough of a wrap up. If you’d like to find out more about my process, check the Professional Portfolio posts from the latter half of this year. And if you have any specific questions, please feel free to get in touch or post a comment below – I’m happy to share my methods and code if it helps anyone with their own work.
